I was born among rolling meadows,
Hole in the ground in the peaceful Shire.
Now I walk through a land of shadows,
Taking the Ring to the Fire:
I see the Mountain; the Mountain calls to me.
I see the Mountain, and that is all I see.
Some poor creature comes, some show mercy,
Some make him promise with words that kill.
One may love me, the other curse me,
But all of us are walking uphill...
Up to the Mountain; the Mountain calls to me.
I see the Mountain, and that is all I see.
One to rule me, and One to find me,
Where in the world can I hope to hide?
I'm so small that you might not mind me,
Until I am standing inside...
Inside the Mountain; the Mountain calls to me.
I see the Mountain, and that is all I see.
Eye to eye for one awful moment,
Here in Mordor where shadows fall.
Now I know, and I've always known it:
The Ring will be mine after all!
Ash nazg durbatulūk
Ash nazg gimbatul
Ash nazg thrakatulūk
Agh burzum-ishi krimpatul
But I see the Mountain; the Mountain calls to me.
I see the Mountain, and that is all I see.
