From whose realm thou came
Wanderer without a name
Why roam this land so long forlorn
Fear us not, O wanderer strayed
Fear not voices from the Forgotten days
Fear us not, O wanderer strayed
Fear not voices from the Forgotten days
Fear us not, O wanderer strayed
Fear not voices from the Forgotten days
We long sought what came to nought
We long fought a battle lost
Behold the ruins on which you stand
Once in full glory, our fairest homeland
We have sinned against our kin
We laid waste to the realm we made
Our Lady Varda align the stars
Why the Sickle against evil left us scars
What are we fighting for
What are we striving for
What can we keep
What can we save
If all shall perish by the flames
From whose realm thou came
Wanderer without a name
Why roam this land so long forlorn
If forgotten time of day of feast
We gathered on high walls looking east
To heed the steps of the mounting Sun
And towards her glory gladly sung
Triumphant we stood at the break of dawn
Our faces bright in the light of morn
Yet long ago the city fell
Sorrow shrouded like a spell
Now silent is the city street
That lies nearby the weeping stream
The crumbled walls echo no more
The song we sang ere the break of dawn
The song that praised the rising Sun
Of hope, of jooy, but never beyond
The encircling mountain has it passed
Or reached our kin's realm while they last
May I have but one request?
Conquer our unfinished quest!
Sing the forgotten song once more
To reclaim what was lost before
Bring victory to the battle lost
Rekindle hope that came to nought
Make something forever last
Beyond the Sundering Sea so vast
When the new day comes
The golden Sun shall find new beauty
And wanderer home.

Gondolin has fallen, and its songs faded into silence in the long years past. But we, Men (and women) of the 7th age, remember them, and we sing for them. And in the act of singing, our wandering hearts will find a home. Let the songs of Gondolin be heard, here on the eastern shores of the Sundering Sea.
