Once upon a time, a child of '69
had a vision while in a different state-of-mind
A place of global peace, a brotherhood of man
of a new age of thought, with the angels hand in hand
A world stripped of fear, greed and jealousy
from the ashes of the old would rise a new society
The pure strength and stark clarity of all
his dream infused he had harkened to its call
Being a man who had the gift of words

Till one day she came and hugged him tight

for him to read a letter meant for him alone

He took the paper out, to find it was blank
