Standing close, ceased to talk, stare into the fire
Silence since I broke the news doom could fit a finger
Has it been right here unrecognized for years
Libraries and dungeons told me some I had expected
Now I‘m burdened heavily with all that I collected
Has it come to us at last, the shadow of the past
Now a moment takes an hour and a blink takes twenty years
The world outside stopped moving, there is noise between my ears
Everything is frozen, I shiver underneath
And I don‘t dare to breath
I don‘t dare to touch it now, too tempting too demanding
Use your eyes and tell me, is the surface slowly changing
What might have been concealed the fire will reveal
Now a moment takes an hour and a blink takes twenty years
The world outside stopped moving, there is noise between my ears
Everything is frozen, I shiver underneath
And I don‘t dare to breath
I don‘t dare to breath
I don‘t dare to breath
The promise of defeat in letters few can read
Few can read
