Artist Comment: "3 pieces inspired by my first reading of Tolkein's "Lord of the Rings" way back in the late 60's. I'm very happy to finally get these early melodies of mine a chance to be heard. I wrote this material back in 1968, when I was a teenager and had been playing only a couple of years. It was actually written on the organ, my original instrument, and only arranged for the piano in 2001 for the CD. There are a couple other Tolkein tunes written back then which I decided not to include this time around."
