(垃nder The Sun 2000)
A. IN THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF (INSTRUMENTAL)
B. PASSAGE ANGEL
Phantasy
He as woodland supernatural entity
Wildlife soul dig on living alone
Evermind
In wilderness sky
She is loving through time
A demon seed to wed a wicked desire
I can see 3 stars in the distance
Are you aware you're not seeing at all?
What is it worth to keep trying
Tell me, what is it worth to keep from crying?
Flailing ourselves again the walls of song
Trying to break down the door of the time being
Phantamind
They merged as one misty spirit of time
Bent to quench their thirst for overthrow
Nevermind
Their wall's already proved too high to climb
But I'll bet if they did they'd shake hands with God, my man
I can see 3 stars in the distance
Are you capable of seeing at all?
What is it worth to keep trying
Tell me, what is it worth to keep from crying?
Selling our soul to the god of song
Existing to outlive the one called the time being
An ageless behemoth
Vast, far and wide
Lord of passage
Moving masses
Nowhere to hide
All-encompassing King
Adversary of everything
Soul constant in a world of change
Nothing out of range
An ageless behemoth
Wrinkles etched in every face but His
Seems he controls all that is
But looks are deceiving
For though he scars the shell
That is truly all he does well
For he has no defense against the soul
Well-being will conquer
Ultimately freeing all from The Time Being
What began as wishful thinking
Slowly evolved to a dream
Intangible as sight and sound unseen
I plotted, I planned
Charted my course through his strange land
Believing I could escape The Time Being
I can see 3 stars in the distance
Will you die before you see at all?
What is it worth to keep trying
Tell me, what is it worth to keep from crying?
Defending our home built from walls of song
Lunging to tear out the throat of the time being
C. SCREAM FOR REDEMPTION (INSTRUMENTAL)

ARTIST COMMENT: "I read "Hobbit" and "LOTR" a few years prior to penning the 1st-draft lyrics to "Time Being", and I vaguely remember being preoccupied with the word subsequent to that, specifically in my late teens, early twenties. If memory serves, I believe I may of even suggested it to the guys as one of the names of the band before we ended up choosing UNDER THE SUN. I don't believe I "intentionally" brought it into the lyric as a reference to Tolkien; however, it obviously manifest through osmosis, as the song's lyrics in general are comprised of mystical and otherworldly imagery -- and seems, in retrospect, to parallel much of the imagery in the Tolkien books. I hadn't thought of it til now!"
